My roof has been replaced with some sort of tiles, what would I select when trying to insure the property?

Thank you for any help

Hi John, You probably have a Decra roofing system or similar lightweight metal roofing system on your property which is very common for BISF Houses.

The problem is, there isn’t usually an option for this to select with most companies.

What the majority of people do is to select ‘Tile’, because although not a concrete or clay tile it is still a roofing tile made from steel.

If you are ever in doubt though, select tile, and give the insurers a quick call to see if they will accept this as an adequate description of your roof.
