The property has the original asbestos roof which I would like to change and upgrade to a ‘Decra’ roof (which seems to be the roof of favour on here – please correct me if I’m wrong).

Also I would like to get some brick cladding work and possible insulation to the front of the upper steel frame.

Would anyone be able to point me in the front direction for sourcing reputable quotes for the jobs listed above in the Loughton, Essex area or give me some estimates?

The work would not need to be done for at least the next few months.

Thanks in advance! ?

Hello Adam
I would recommend getting in touch with Hugh at Britmet Tileform regarding a replacement roof. He has a list of independent installers throughout the UK who can provide you with quotes.

Call Hugh Mclaughlin on 01295 250998 or email [email protected]

If your specifically after a quote for Decra Tiles you can call 0161 865 4444 or e-mail sales.uk.icopal.com
Decra Tiles are distributed by Icopal and their sales department will be able to put you in touch with a local member of the sales team who will also be happy to provide you with a quote from a local installer.

As for cladding and insulation, I have sent off a few e-mails and hope to have a response and contact details for you shortly

Marc

Thank you Marc, I have dropped Hugh an e-mail awaiting a response.

I will also call round some more services and post results on here which could help others to gauge rough estimates of replacements for roofs/cladding etc.

I removed my asbestos roof, and after some structural timber additions I replaced with Metrotile. If you are going to the effort of encapsulating the outside then I would suggest a EPB system to add to the insulation properties of the home, there are varying styles and through colours on the market nowadays. I built a two storey extension on mine, encapsulated the existing rendered the new and painted old and new to match.

Hope this helps a little
