Dimensions;
The Internal dimensions for one semi-detached house are:- Width – 22′-6″ between front and back walls. Length – 20′-0″ between end and party walls. Heights – 8′-0″ ground floor to ceiling. 8′-0″ first floor to ceiling. Floor Area = 22’6″ x 20′-0″ x 2 = 900 sq. ft.

The Chairman referred to the intensive work which Mr, Gibberd had done during the past four weeks in preparing the Architect’s working drawings, of which there were 84, Mr, Lee had also been most active during the period and the Committee indicated its appreciation of the excellent services they had rendered.

The Chairman said that the Design Committee had also considered the question of the supply of the framework for the prototype and the matter had been referred to the London Constructional Engineers Association, who had recommended Dorman Long & Co,or Redpath Brown & Co, to carry out the work. These two Companies, in consultation, had agreed that Redpath Brown could fabricate and erect the prototype. The matter, he said, would now be referred to the Main Committee for their approval.

It is hoped that arrangements will be made for the Com­mittee to inspect privately the temporary “Churchill” house at the Tate Gallery and also, in the afternoon, to inspect the pro­totype of the “A” house temporarily erected at the builder’s yard at Norbury.
