Hi, hoping someone can help me, we bought our bisf house 6 weeks ago and are hoping to get our new windows fitted next week. However the window company have concerns that the back bedroom window has exposed asbestos. We have a secondary soundproof window in place and the side sills have been removed for this secondary window to fit. Can anybody tell me if asbestos could have been used for insulation behind the sills? Hope someone can help.
Many thanks Charlie

Hello Charandlee, there should not be any asbestos grade material around your windows frame and this includes the insulation layer which is glass fibre quilting.

Do you have a photograph that you could upload showing the exposed area or material?

Regards

Marc
