We have just purchased a BISF semi detached house and want to make some internal alterations. We are in the process of getting quotes for removing the old chimney breast from the front room and the fitted cupboards between the two large bedrooms. We also want to remove the wall between the front room and hall, fill in the doorway from hall to kitchen and then remove the wall between kitchen and dining room. We know that these walls are only studded so is it a simple job to remove them ourselves as I don’t think we need to get Acrows and RSJ’s which I have had to use on previous properties?

We have been to see the local council about the addition of a porch and conservatory and the only problem is that we need to change the small bedroom window to allow a fire escape, the other bedrooms have openers large enough.

Thank you
